Education data matters to me because it allows me to shape the educational future of my children. With the knowledge data provides, I’m better able to navigate the educational landscape.
Jazzmone leads the day-to-day human resources and operations functions at DQC, including benefits administration, recruiting, and onboarding efforts. She is a comprehensive resource for all DQC staff, and collaborates directly with the President and Chief Financial Officer.
Her work at DQC has allowed Jazzmone to tap into her passion for education and contribute in a meaningful way to an organization that is aligned with her personal ideals. As a parent, she hopes to ensure that her children and everyone who supports student learning have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their educational journey.
Before joining the Data Quality Campaign in 2013, Jazzmone spent six years as an Executive Assistant for one of DC’s top 20 lobbying firms and spent two years as an Office Manager for an environmentally-friendly recycling company.
Jazzmone earned her BA in Political Science from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. She also holds an associate’s degree in paralegal studies.
Who are your education heroes? My high school ROTC teacher Col. Thompson. He inspired and motivated every student to be the best.
What is your favorite DQC resource? Grace’s Path to Success. The more we can showcase the many opportunities and paths to success, the more students will be able to define what achievement and success looks like for them.
What is your superpower? My superpower is the ability to be optimistic during challenging situations.
