Tennessee High School Pushes Students to Exceed Expectations

At Covington High School, a 2012 Tennessee SCORE for Schools Winner, students are accustomed to experiencing data used to improve their achievement and that of their school. By using data to help teachers make informed decisions in their classrooms, Covington High School increased its college-going rate by 10 percentage points between 2009 and 2010. The school is also using data to help its students make academic gains in subjects like algebra.
