Researchers face numerous challenges when studying trends in education, especially when it comes to accessing and analyzing data. The Ohio Education Research Center (OERC), a collaboration of six universities and state agencies, was created to streamline the state’s data sharing process and ensure that education research directly affects education policy by getting accurate and actionable information into the hands of decisionmakers.
